As we move through our 40s and into perimenopause, menopause and beyond, we experience changes in hormones, metabolism, muscle mass, bone density and energy levels. It’s a lot! But strength training can be a powerful tool in helping us take back control of our health and wellbeing.

What is the Women on Weights programme?


This is a 6-week guided strength training journey designed for women aged 40+ who want to feel strong, energised, and confident — without the overwhelm.


It’s perfect if you’re brand new to weights, returning after a break, or just want to build strength in a safe, supportive environment.


🗓 Starts: Tuesday 9th September


🕢 Time: 7.30pm – 8.15pm

Here's what to expect:


Week 1: The Foundation Workshop


We’ll kick off with a deep dive into the why and how of weight training for women over 40.

You'll learn:


The benefits of strength training in midlife


Key movement patterns and correct lifting technique


How to avoid injury and build up safely


Simple nutrition guidance to support your strength goals



This session is about building confidence and laying the groundwork so you feel ready and excited to train.



Weeks 2–6: Weekly Strength Sessions + Progress Catch-Ups


Each week you’ll take part in a 45-minute guided session focusing on full-body strength, with targeted work for the core, glutes, arms, and legs.

Every session is designed to help you:


Improve your technique


Gradually build strength and stamina


Track your progress


Ask questions and stay accountable



We’ll finish each class with a short chat or check-in to support your journey — think motivation, mindset and celebrating your wins!



Your Home Practice: Power Booster Workouts


To keep the momentum going, you’ll also receive 2–3 short Power Booster workouts each week to complete at home.

These are: ✅ Quick and effective (10–15 mins max)

✅ Focused on strength, mobility and core stability

✅ Easy to follow with minimal equipment

✅ Designed to keep you consistent between sessions


What you’ll need:


A pair of dumbbells – if you’re new to weights, I recommend starting with 3kg


A yoga mat or comfortable surface


A bit of space to move


A willingness to show up and give it a go!




Community Support: WhatsApp Group


You won’t be doing this alone! You’ll be added to a private Women on Weights WhatsApp group for the full 6 weeks.
