I Thought I Was Losing Everything… I Was Actually Finding My Way......

By Andrea Gaynor — AG Fitness & Health

Ten months ago, I wrote a post that felt incredibly vulnerable to share.

At the time, my business wasn’t thriving in the way it once had, and if I’m honest, it felt like something I’d spent decades building was quietly slipping away.

After years of busy halls, full classes, music, laughter, and connection, everything felt… different. Slower. Quieter. Uncertain.

And it hurt.

Not just professionally, but personally too — because when you’ve poured your heart into something for so long, it becomes part of who you are.

I genuinely thought I was losing everything I’d built.

But what I couldn’t see then…

was that I wasn’t losing my way — I was being guided toward a new one.

When Change Feels Like Loss

For a while, I sat with a mix of emotions — sadness, doubt, grief, and a lot of questioning.

Had I done something wrong?

Had I missed something?

Was this the beginning of the end?

When something that once felt certain starts to shift, it can shake your confidence in ways you don’t expect.

But slowly, something began to change.

Not in my business first — but in me.

The Shift I Didn’t Expect

Instead of trying to cling to what used to be, I started to listen more closely to what felt right now.

And over the past 10 months, something beautiful has unfolded.

I’ve:

✨ Grown my online community and coaching

✨ Created more workshops, events and experiences

✨ Expanded my massage and well-being work

✨ Built deeper, more meaningful connections

✨ Found a rhythm that feels more sustainable and aligned

It hasn’t been loud or dramatic.

It’s been steady, intentional, and quietly empowering.

And somewhere along the way, I realised something important —

I wasn’t rebuilding what I had.

I was creating something new.

Redefining What Success Means

For years, success looked like full class registers and a packed schedule.

Now, it looks different.

And honestly… it feels better.

Success now is:

💜 Seeing women grow in confidence

💜 Supporting someone through a tough season

💜 Creating spaces that feel safe and empowering

💜 Doing work that feels meaningful

💜 Having balance and space in my own life

It’s less about numbers — and more about impact.

Where I Am Now

AG Fitness & Health has evolved into something more holistic, more intentional, and more aligned with the stage of life I’m in.

Today, my work is a blend of:

Online coaching and communities

Small group programmes

Workshops and experiences

Retreat-style events

Massage and well-being sessions

It’s still rooted in movement and strength.

But it’s also about mindset, health, confidence, and connection.

And it feels right.

The Truth About That “Losing Everything” Feeling

Looking back, I can see that what felt like loss was actually space.

Space to rethink

Space to grow

Space to evolve

Because sometimes life doesn’t take things away to punish us —

it clears the path so we can build something that fits who we’re becoming.

I wasn’t losing my business.

I was finding a new way to run it — and a new way to show up in it.

Where I’m Heading

I feel clearer and more excited about the future than I have in a long time.

My vision is to keep building a business that:

Supports women — especially in midlife — in a realistic, empowering way

Blends fitness, health, mindset and well-being

Creates genuine community and connection

Allows me to keep doing what I love sustainably

There are more experiences coming.

More opportunities to connect.

More ways to support women beyond just workouts.

This next chapter isn’t about going back.

It’s about moving forward — with intention.

If You’re In A Season Of Change Too

If you’re reading this and you feel like something in your life is shifting — your career, your confidence, your direction — I want you to know you’re not alone.

It’s scary when things change.

It can feel like you’re going backwards.

But sometimes the path only makes sense when you look back and realise it was leading you somewhere better all along.

Thank You 🙏✨️

To every woman who has been part of my journey — whether you’ve attended a class, joined a programme, come to an event, booked a treatment, or simply followed along — thank you.

Your support, trust, and encouragement have meant more than you’ll ever know.

AG Fitness & Health is still evolving.

And I truly believe the best is still ahead.

Because now I know —

I wasn’t losing everything.

I was finding my way 💜
